Lee Marshall

Lee is a values-driven commercial and finance executive with 25 years in the oil and gas industry and leadership experience that includes ASX100 C-level Executive and International Country Manager positions.

Over a career spanning the entire value chain, Lee has developed and demonstrated extensive capability, including:

  • Exemplary leadership of board-level decision processes, from decision framing and management of functional inputs and analysis, through to exceptional authorship of recommendation papers based on clear business cases.

  • Expert negotiator and strategist completing successful deals with joint venture partners, governments, M&A counterparties, tax authorities, customers, suppliers, and lenders across Australia, East Asia, Europe, North America, and Africa.

  • Deep technical expertise in commercial/economic analysis, risk and uncertainty modelling, fiscal regime application and statistical and probabilistic techniques.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial agreements and relationships between key value and risk-allocation provisions. Expertise in Joint Venture Operating Agreements, Farm-in/out Agreements, Asset Sale and Purchase Agreements, Share Sale Agreements, Production Sharing Contracts and Gas Sale Agreements.

  • Extensive due diligence and corporate structuring experience.

  • Treasury management including execution of major debt and equity funding deals, funding strategy preparation, rating agency management, and bank relationship management.

  • Corporate strategy preparation, recommendations and reviews.

  • In-house training course development and delivery.

  • Development of procedures, processes and governance frameworks.
